A while back I posted a recipe for Healthy Ice Cream, and I also said I would try to create different flavours for you guys. So I have 4 flavours to share with you; chocolate, strawberry, mint choc chip and peanut butter. Now I know Winter is approaching here in the Southern Hemisphere but ice cream is still ice cream! ­čśŤ Enjoy!

Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

3 frozen bananas, peeled

3 tbsp or 1/4 cup cacao powder

1/4 cup milk

1 tbsp sweetener of choice (optional)

 

1. In a blender or food processor, combine all ingredients and mix until smooth.

2. Put it into a container in the freezer for 2-3 hours to give it a firmer texture.

Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

3  frozen bananas, peeled

2/3 cup strawberries, washed and sliced

 

1. In a blender or food processor,  combine bananas and mix until smooth.

2. Add in strawberries and mix further till it reaches a smooth consistency.

3.Put it into a container in the freezer for 2-3 hours to give it a firmer texture.

Mint Choc Chip Ice Cream Recipe

3 frozen bananas, peeled

1/4 tsp peppermint extract*

1 tbsp sweetener of choice

1/4 cup canned coconut milk or normal milk

1/4 cup chocolate chips or cacao nibs

 

1. In a blender or food processor, blend bananas until smooth.

2. Add remaining ingredients except for chocolate chips/cacao nibs.

3. Fold in chocolate chips by hand.

4. Put it into a container in the freezer for 2-3 hours to give it a firmer texture.

 

*You can substitute extract for a few mint leaves.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Recipe

3 frozen bananas, peeled

3 tbsp peanut butter

1 tbsp sweetener of choice

1/4 cup milk

 

1. In a blender or food processor, mix bananas until it reaches a smooth consistency.

2. Add remaining ingredients and mix until smooth.

3. Put it into a container in the freezer for 2-3 hours to give it a firmer texture.
